The Club
Position Summary
**Qualifications**:
- Degree/Diploma in a hospitality or related field and a minimum of 3 to 5 years in leadership experience in similar role
- Proven track record of mentorship, teaching and driving a learning culture within the staff.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining service standards, recruitment and leadership of a Food & Beverage team consisting of approximately 15+ employees.
- Fluency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Comprehensive knowledge and costing of food, spirits, beer & wines to ensure margins are met.
- Comprehensive knowledge of menus, food preparation styles, wine, beer, and alcohol; must have working knowledge of liquor laws and current Health and Safety regulations.
- Working knowledge of Jonas Club Management Software (specifically the POS module) or a similar Food & Beverage management software
- Private Club experience considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent high-quality food and beverage service to the Club’s members and guests for all day-to-day dining, banquet, and Club events.
- Be the point of contact for banquet and event bookings, and ensure their needs are met, from planning to execution to post-event billing.
- Maintain and grow relationships with groups that regularly rent our banquet spaces.
- Conduct and ensure the departmental employee cycle is being achieved (recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, developing, approving payroll and dismissal)
- Maintain regular communication with the membership and staff to advise them of social events and pertinent F&B and Clubhouse information.
- Under the direction of the General Manager, develop & implement departmental annual plans and operating reports.
- Oversee the ordering of all beverage inventory.
- Available and willing to work a flexible schedule which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Supervision
- Recruit, train, and develop staff.
- Provide leadership to Food and Beverage servers and bartenders.
- Provide visible, hands-on management on the floor and the back of the house, promoting a team environment that encourages staff to provide exemplary customer service.
- Monitor server performance to ensure a consistent level of service is provided.
- Further develop, train, and advise on service standards.
- Implement service procedures and processes as required (answering phones, pouring wine, handling takeout orders, etc.)
- Implement tracking procedures and run reports to ensure inventory levels are maintained and reduce loss/waste.
Member Experience
- Proactively and responsibly manage relationships with members of the Club.
- Forge connections with members and utilize their names.
- Address members’ concerns and complaints effectively and promptly, resolving issues as they arise, and following up with the GM as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Salary Details
Commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year
