The Load Booker will play a vital role in securing and managing shipments for cross-border and interstate freight. This role is essential to optimizing load efficiency, minimizing empty miles, and maintaining excellent relationships with brokers and clients. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to securing freight, negotiating rates, and fulfilling all load-booking tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Identify and book shipments for Full Truckload (FTL) and Less-than-Truckload (LTL) cross-border and interstate trucks using load boards, software, and other shipment sourcing tools.
- Secure a minimum of 20 loads per day and ensure thorough follow-up and record-keeping for each booking.
- Maintain accurate data entry and comprehensive records for all booked loads to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Source new customers to develop and expand the company’s client base.
- Calculate competitive rates and submit bids on Requests for Proposal (RFPs) in collaboration with brokers and customers.
- Work closely with dispatchers and planners to ensure all booked shipments are communicated effectively, minimizing delays and issues.
- Prepare reports and support additional duties as required by management, ensuring compliance and alignment with company goals.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years in load booking, with in-depth knowledge of the trucking industry, cross-border logistics, and software systems.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Loadlink and DAT: 3 years (required)
- Load booking: 3 years (required)
- Trucking industry: 3 years (required)
- Cross-border Trucking: 3 years (required)
- **Availability**: Ability to be available after hours as needed to manage load coordination.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and maintain strong organizational practices in a fast-paced environment.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: A team-oriented professional who is persuasive, energetic, and motivated to drive results.
