Reporting to theDirector and Manager, St.Amant Research Centre (SARC) and consistent with the Mission, Values and policies of St.Amant, the Program Support Officer, SARC is a critical role in ensuring the success of St.Amant business and operations.

Exemplifying the mission, vision and values of St.Amant and SARC, the Program Support Officer works collaboratively with partnered programs while offering employees respectful customer service.

For this role, the Program Support Officer will need to be able to handle administrative and program support duties, provide research and evaluation support, and deliver high-quality work under mínimal supervision. The role will primarily involve working remotely and a strong internet connection is required.

The Program Support Officer performs a broad range of program, research, and evaluation support services to team members, student researchers, and external collaborators in ethical conduct of research and evaluation activities. The Program Support Officer also supports communication and knowledge translation activities.

**Qualifications**:
**Educational**:

- Bachelor's or higher-level university degree
- Academic research experience is an asset

**Professional**:

- Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Experience working with consumers, staff, families, and the public and in an effective and professional manner
- Skilled in the use and operation of personal computers and computer networks, printers, scanners, photocopiers, and other office equipment
- Experience in performing a wide range of administrative/secretarial tasks
- Experience in producing large volumes of high-quality documentation/materials

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Program/Service Support**

Consistent with the Mission, Philosophy and Policies of St.Amant, theProgram Support Officer provides a broad range of quality program and project coordination, and supports research and evaluation activities. Quality services are evident when professional communication, timeliness, accuracy, ethical awareness / sensitivity, and confidentiality are consistently demonstrated as required by legislation and program/service standards.

Duties include:

- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with persons supported and families, volunteers, and team members within all St.Amant programs and services
- Schedules meetings, and coordinates required technology and resource needs
- Attends designated meetings and records and distributes agendas and minutes
- Participates in research project sessions and meetings, and contributes to research planning
- Prepares, drafts, types, proofs, packages, and distributes documents of all kinds, including letters, reports, minutes, memos, agendas, databases, manuals, forms, tables, charts, graphs, etc.
- Facilitates research recruitment of participants
- Updates recruitment forms and policy as needed
- Facilitates the ethical Research Access Review process at the direction of the Research Review Committee Chair
- Responds as directed to public inquiries regarding programs and activities
- Makes travel arrangements for staff as required, including airline bookings, hotel bookings, etc.
- Assists with external communication activities (e.g., website)
- Assists with presentations to diverse audiences to promote SARC identity
- Reviews and provides feedback on student products
- Performs literature reviews, and assists in knowledge translation activities to synthesize information for evidence-
