- Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. *Key Objectives and Accountabilities*
- Support timely response for all areas regarding maintenance activities.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Ensure all safety requirements are operational and compliant with industrial regulation requirements.
- Works cooperatively with internal and external Pride Signs customers *Essential Functions*
- The maintenance technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems to support the achievement of our goals and objectives.
- Ability to leverage current maintenance software such as Maintain X for cost savings, asset management, tracking of downtime, min/max on Maintenance supplies.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings with no supervision.
- To ensure the good execution of the maintenance activities in all aspects of the facility.
- Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
- Assist with outsourcing work for major breakdowns and equipment upgrades to specialty trades.
- Coordinate outside vendors for proactive maintenance on equipment requiring external services.
- Must be able to operate all machine shop equipment effectively.
- Must be able to be on call during off shift hours for major breakdowns.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and building.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment when performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- A technician of maintenance is directly responsible for development and implementation of maintenance processes to maintain proper equipment and machinery functionality as well as cost efficiency; is responsible for the spare part control inventory to ensure the equipment maintenance process.
- Analyze mechanical parts required for maintenance performance, use of equipment, material, and personnel.
- Implement new machinery and process introductions along with training, work instructions and lock-out tagout information.
- Must be able to work independently, and in a team environment.
- Assist and instruct helpers performing related job functions.
- Assist with training of new and existing employees
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety and company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned *Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience
- * 4+ years of manufacturing experience; electric, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical skills.
- High school diploma/GED
- Great communication and listening skills
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of AXYZ Routers, SDS Letter Benders, Rolls Roller Tables, AMU Paint Booths, EFI Printers and saws. *Physical Demands
- * This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
