Daycare Chef

Looking for someone who loves children, and knows what makes their little tummies happy and full.

You would be responsible for:

- Creating your own rotating seasonal menu. (we have old ones if you prefer but you can be as creative as you would like in the role)
- Preparing meals and snacks for our 69 children, ensuring proper nutrition and dietary restrictions are met
- Ordering groceries weekly for delivering to the centre. Taking inventory of grocery items and storing them for the upcoming week(s)
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and food storage area
- Work alongside health department to pass quarterly inspections
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of the children

**Experience**:

- Knowledge of food preparation and handling is a plus MUST HAVE FOOD HANDLERS CERTIFICATION
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children. MUST HAVE VALID CRIMINAL REFERENCE CHECK and FIRST AID/CPR

The position is Monday to Friday, you can create your own shift times, what ever works for you to be able to provide: Morning snack served at 8:30, Lunch served at 11:30 ends at 12-12:30. Dishes and then Afternoon snack can be prepared and left out ahead of time for our educators to serve around 3pm.

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
