The Banquet Porter is responsible preparing meeting rooms to customer specifications for upcoming events. Some serving is also involved.
**RATE**:$14.50 to $15.17 per hour plus gratuities
**HOURS**:Will vary according to business levels.
**PORTER RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Embrace all Food & Beverage standards and our hotel Vision, Mission, and Values.
- Ensure guest satisfaction pertaining to all Banquet/Meeting room set up requirements.
- Coffee service set up and delivery.
- Restock supplies.
- Troubleshoot guests’ requests.
- Perform mínimal bartending.
- Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.
- Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and team leaders.
- Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
- Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Legal age to serve alcohol.
- Bartending experience an asset
- An energetic and outgoing individual who is able to organize job tasks efficiently, be thorough and exact with details, provide quality guest service, and work with mínimal supervision
- Able to deal with a busy environment while working at a fast pace.
- Friendly and enthusiastic individual with a neat, professional appearance.
- Demonstrate exceptional guest service skills with a passion to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including lifting, pushing and transporting chairs and tables.
- Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 8 - 16 per week
**Salary**: Up to $15.17 per hour
