Burlington, Canada Rite Excavation Limited Full time

Rite Excavation Limited (Rite-X) is an excavation company specializing in excavation practices, earthworks, and civil services.

We are seeking a qualified, knowledgeable and adaptable individual to join our growing team as a Project Manager for our office in Burlington, Ontario.

The Project Manager will report to the Director.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Prepare and negotiate contracts and subcontracts, along with contract revisions.
- Review project logs.
- Prepare monthly Work in Progress reports.
- Prepare project reports as required.
- Understand and prepare preliminary, interim and baseline schedules for distribution to all parties.
- Prepare and/or review phasing and sequencing plans.
- Maintain and promote project completion schedule, identify bottlenecks, long lead items and plan appropriately.
- Prepare budgets, price and process changes, review and process internal accounting revisions
- Oversee the preparation, collection, distribution and maintenance of project start-up documentation.
- Identify, mitigate and manage risk areas of the project, involving management immediately on potential loss items.
- Problem-solve technical issues with applicable parties.
- Delegate work to Project Coordinators and co-operative education personnel, reviewing all work and documents for completeness by subordinates.
- Review and approve Accounts Payable.
- Prepare and have certified Accounts Receivable and collect payments.
- Liaison with clients, subcontractors, trades and business partners.
- Conduct oneself professionally with a mindset to obtain professional references and repeat business.
- Summarize events for Management for risk items, including writing and distributing notices and claims.
- Review all close-out documentation, including as-builts, manuals, warranties and other maintenance documentation.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Degree or diploma in civil or construction management, or equivalent.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role.
- Construction education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including MS Project.
- Bluebeam proficiency.
- Procore proficiency.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
- Assist with value engineering.
- Build and maintain relationships with business partners.
- Strong understanding of CCDC2 and CCDC5B contracts.
- This is a permanent, full-time, dayshift, Monday through Friday position, working from our office in Burlington, Ontario with site visits to a variety of projects._
