**MEDICAL DEVICE REPROCESSING CASUAL INSTRUCTOR, HEALTH ADMINISTRATION AND TECHNOLOGY**

**FACULTY OF HEALTH AND COMMUNITY STUDIES**

NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for someone dedicated to making a difference We are looking for a casual instructor to join our Health Administration and Technology team at our downtown campus in our Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program. This program teaches sterile processing skills with the goal of having students successfully obtain their CMDRT or CRCST certification.

We have a casual instructor position available to teach Tuesday and Thursday evenings online as well as in person labs held on some weekends at our downtown campus. Evening online class times are 6:00 - 9:30 pm and weekends are 8 am -4 pm (Sat/Sun) during the term. This program runs year-round with this position focused primarily on our Spring offering (May-August).

- Work with groups, manage a classroom, and create engaging and dynamic lessons utilizing a variety of teaching methods.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- 2+ years of recent experience working in an acute care MDRD.
- Current CMDRT or CRCST certification is required.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in a post-secondary environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline is considered an asset.
- If your education was received internationally we recommend you obtain an international education assessment through IQAS, WES, or one of the other nationally designated organizations.
- Proficiency in using technology; demonstrated experience teaching using Moodle and/or virtual classroom software would be a benefit.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team.

**SALARY**: Reflective upon what you bring. AKA your education and experience. This is a casual role that also includes 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits.

This is a Faculty role therefore the pay range is quite large, the Faculty Association agreement Appendix A outlines how pay is determined.
