Ft Residential Case Worker

SLCS is currently seeking a Full Time Residential Case Worker at MLA Centre. As a member of this interdisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, crisis intervention, discharge planning and support services as needed. You will be expected to assess clients’ skills and needs, particularly in regard to their mental health and addiction related issues, in addition to advocacy for and with clients involved in the criminal justice system. This role will also focus on establishing and building client relationships in the case management process, including liaison with other services i.e. Probation/Parole officers, clinical support, courts to coordinate care for clients, etc. In addition, you will be responsible for the safety and security of the clients and other staff during your shift. You have the ability to work within grey areas while providing supports from a trauma-informed and strengths-based lens. You will also be able to work collaboratively with other team members to complete administrative functions.
The roles and schedule for these positions will require general availability in providing client care including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
**Required Qualifications**
- University Degree or College Diploma
- Standard First Aid /CPR with AED - Level C
- Valid G2 or G Class Driver’s License
- Proof of 2nd shot of COVID-19 vaccine required
