In the Role, You Will Be:

- Leading, planning, executing and delivering amazing work on multiple projects
- Overseeing multiple job sites and supporting a team of carpenters, apprentices and sub trades
- Ensuring projects are completed according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes, all while maintaining an impeccably high standard of work
- Using your technical skills to integrate multiple iterations of building codes and techniques
- Showing up to each site and sharing your knowledge of construction procedures, equipment best practices and safety policies
- Making sure your team understands your vision for the project and the collective end goal
- Mentoring apprentices and carpenters to work as efficiently as possible while producing the highest quality product, all while ensuring site safety is always top of mind
- Maintaining and leading clean, organized and professional work sites

Experience Required:

- 5+ years experience working as a lead carpenter in the industry (Bonus points for Red Seal/Journeyman certification)
- Previous experience mentoring employees
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience collaborating with the Construction Manager and project managers on a regular basis
- Knowledge of all aspects of renovation construction
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with standard operating procedures, rules, and regulations
- Physically fit to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ability to climb ladders and navigate construction areas
- Understanding of the federal, provincial and municipal building codes
- Must own a reliable vehicle and have a valid Canadian driver’s license
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
