Landscape Foreman/woman

Unity Sod Farm provides landscaping service in Kingston Ontario and the surrounding area. We provide landscaping services and snow plowing to home owners, commercial builders and municipalities. Unity Sod Farm is a family-owned business started in 1997

Landscape Foreman/Woman is responsible for managing the successful completion of landscape projects.

Plan and estimate labour and materials. Ensure team has required equipment and materials to successfully complete projects with consistent adherence to schedule

Correspondence with clients and the public as required

Lead regular team meetings

Ensure worker safety, the continuous use of personal protective equipment and comply with and premote all company policies and local health and safety regulations

Demonstrate continous growth through personal goal achievement

Lead by positive example utilizing clear communication methods fostering a positive professional environment

Communicate and collabration status to management and support staff related to invoicing

Communicate to customer in polite and courteous manner

Ensure standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks,trailers, equipment, jobsite and shop/yard areas, monitor preventative maintenance on tools and equipment

Ability to quote jobs, read and interpret blueprints specifications with the use of the LMN app

Technically skilled

Ability to be able to understand and perform principals, grading and layout

Ability to delegate

Logistics

DZ license would be an asset

G license a must in good standing

Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold

Flexiable working hours could include weekend work and long hours

You will be the company's eyes and ears on project sites, ensuring work is done according to plan, managing and motivating team members and working with office saff and vendors to coordinate successful project installations and site management
