Unity Sod Farm provides landscaping and snow plow service in Kingston Ontario and surrounding area. We provide our services to home owners, commercial builders and municipalities.
Unity Sod Farm is a family-owned business that started in 1997.
Landscape Foreman/Woman is responsible for managing the successful completion of all landscape projects.
Some of the tasks involved are:
Plan and estimate labour and materials. (ability to quote jobs, read and interpret blueprint specifications and use of LMN)
Ensure your team has the required equipment and materials to successfully complete projects with consistent adherence to the schedule.
Correspondence with clients and the public as required.
Lead regular team meetings.
Ensure worker safety, the continuous use of personal protective equipment, and comply with and promote all company policies and local health and safety regulations.
Be a positive Team Leader. Set the example and utilize clear communication methods.
Foster a positive professional environment.
Demonstrate continous growth and learning through personal goal achievements.
Communicate and collaborate with management and support staff related to invoicing, work schedule, daily job requirements, staffing concerns, etc.
Communicate to customers and vendors in a polite and courteous manner.
Ensure MTO regulations are met and maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, all jobsites, and shop/yard areas.
Ensure preventative maintenance is done on tools and equipment.
Ability to delegate.
Ability to understand and perform principals, grading and layout.
DZ license and mechanical experience would be an asset.
G license with a clean record for the past 3 years is a MUST.
Must be comfortable working outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold.
Flexible working hours could include weekend work and/or long hours.
You will be the company's eyes and ears on project sites, ensuring work is done according to plan, managing and motivating team members, and working with office staff and vendors to coordinate successful project installations and site management.
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
