Maintenance Technician

AON is looking for a full-time **Maintenance Technician** who is mechanically inclined and seeking a career with the leading property management company in Peterborough

- **What You’ll Be Doing**_
- Minor repairs such as replacement of locks, fuses, light bulbs, and ceiling tiles; hanging doors, countertop installation, drywall repair, minor plumbing issues and electrical tasks
- Identifying problems arising from areas such as major appliances, HVAC, foundation/sidewalks, pool care and reporting findings back to Maintenance Supervisor for deployment of subtrades
- General cleaning, maintenance, and repairs of building exteriors including eavestroughs and downspouts
- Routine and preventative maintenance of sinks, counters, tubs, windows, and doors including caulking and repairs to trim
- Assembly and installation of cabinetry such as kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities
- Preventative maintenance/repair of fire system, waste removal, and other environmental systems
- Outside work such as maintaining patio areas, removing snow, sanding/salting of walkways and entrances
- Ensuring consistent communication within the department, amongst sub-trades, and with other departments across the AON Group of Companies

- Your own basic tools and ability to safely use general maintenance equipment
- Vehicle and valid drivers license for travel between our work sites
- Proficiency with mobile technology (phone, tablets) to track work orders
- Capability to work collaboratively with team members
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to identify common repair issues
- **Your Education & Experience**_
- 1 year of experience in a related trade, ideally building or property maintenance
- Grade 12 or OSSD equivalent, preferred
Our Maintenance Technicians primarily work Monday to Friday; however, emergency support may be required during evenings and weekends in extenuating circumstances.
