**Position Summary**

This co-op position will be responsible for implementing new security systems and training platforms, reviewing policy compliance, software cleanup, intranet site setup, and general IT projects.

**Areas of Responsibility**
- Support IT with new security system implementations.
- Review IT policy compliance and help correct misalignments.
- Software and system cleanup including removing old users, reviewing security settings, correcting existing data, and related tasks.
- Assist in Intranet site set-up and deployment.
- Assist in deployment of user security training platform.
- Research and compare new technology options and prepare recommendations.
- Lead and collaborate on small independent IT projects.
- Assists in the day-to-day IT tasks.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- A degree (or currently enrolled in a program) in the Computer Science or IT Systems discipline.
- Previous work experience in a related environment or completion of at least one previous co-op assignment is an asset.
- Experience working with Windows 10, Mac OS, Windows Server 2019, and cloud SaaS environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability.
- Familiar with a broad range of laboratory techniques such as HPLC, UV-VIS, DLS and zeta-potential
- An interest in IT, Data Security, and improving efficiency with technology.
- Must be a resourceful, proactive, detail oriented individual.
- The individual must be a team player who thrives in a dynamic environment with multiple tasks and aggressive deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be able to work with minimum supervision.
