**Huronia Transition Homes**

**Project Coordinator: Project B.A.S.E.**

**TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE**

**Overview**

Huronia Transition Homes (HTH) is an intersectional feminist organization in Simcoe County, working to end all violence against all women. HTH firmly believes that inequality perpetuates violence against women, as articulated in its mandate. The agency focuses on educating, advocating, and exposing women’s inequality.

Since 2019, Huronia Transition Home’s “Project B.A.S.E.” (Building Accessible Supports and Education), has been working to reduce barriers for civilian and non-civilian members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) to receive specialized services and training on sexualized violence.

Project B.A.S.E will continue to respond to the need for counselling, emotional support, and legal and medical system navigation for members of the CFB Borden community who have experienced sexual abuse. The project’s goals are to meet the unique needs of CAF members who have experienced sexual abuse by:

- Decreasing barriers to specialized services through on-base counselling provision;
- Increasing CAF member knowledge of consent and sexual abuse through on-base training; and
- Increasing stakeholder knowledge of existing programing through support service network collaboration and service mapping.

**Job Summary**

The Project Coordinator will act as a community facilitator and primary resource related to Project B.A.S.E.; will ensure the effective implementation of project initiatives; and will evaluate and report on project outcomes. The Project Coordinator will work collaboratively with community stakeholders and will ensure project initiatives reflect an intersectional feminist and anti-oppression framework. Please note, this is a bargaining unit position working primarily from our Barrie office located at 80 Bradford Street.

- Establishing, coordinating, and conducting on-base counselling services at CFB Borden;
- Coordination and delivery of specialized training and workshops related to sexual violence at CFB Borden
- Promoting and coordinating support service network collaboration and service mapping
- Ensure all project initiatives and activities reflect an intersectional feminist framework and uphold the values and philosophy of Huronia Transition Homes

**Community and Stakeholder Collaboration**
- Facilitate and organize the work of the Simcoe County Canadian Armed Forces Sexual Violence Working Group, a collaborative body that identifies and addresses barriers faced by those experiencing sexualized violence with a CAF affiliation
- Facilitate the finalization and implementation of the Canadian Armed Forces-Sexual Violence (CAF-SV) Collaboration agreement
- Deliver presentations on the CAF-SV agreement to service providers in the community and members of CFB Borden
- Network with CFB Borden stakeholders to support the delivery of workshops and trainings on-base

**Project Evaluation and Reporting**
- Identify and report on measurable project performance indicators and outcomes to the Program Supervisor
- Ensure compliance with project funding requirements and assist with preparing reports to program funders
- Report on program outcomes and impact to community stakeholders
