We are a well established multidisciplinary practice in Orleans. We are looking for a dynamic person to join our team as a Rehab Assistant (RA) that will perform a variety of tasks for the clinic. They will be in contact with patients at the clinic helping to achieve the goal of fostering an environment that promotes patient comfort and trust.

**General Description**

As an RA at Ophysio Clinic, you will play a combined role consisting of management and clinical work. The RA will be responsible with providing patient care as prescribed by the physiotherapist. You also will be responsible with maintaining the cleanliness of the clinic rooms and equipment as well as booking appointments for patients.

The position is considered a crucial link between the patient and the care delivered by the practitioners. The incumbent must work collaboratively with all clinical services staff and patients exhibiting flexibility and a “can do” attitude. The position must exemplify the core values and mission of the organization, always exercising the utmost discretion, diplomacy and tact in patient-staff interactions.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Assist with conducting one-on-one physiotherapy treatments & exercises with assigned patients as directed by the Physiotherapist.
- Assign & encourage patients to reach the goals of their planned treatment programs.
- Ensure proper documentation of treatments and progress reports for each patient
- Document treatments and patients' progress after each therapy session per the Physiotherapist’s instructions
- Assist patients with walking, sitting and safe transferring
- Monitor any changes to a patient's health status and report to the Physiotherapist
- Sterilizing and cleaning treatment areas, equipment and tools.
- Promoting a climate of success and the highest level of service with strong supportive leadership and a positive attitude.
- Communicate and work closely with the multi-disciplinary team (including Front-desk, Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, etc.).

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Experience in rehab assistance services is a strong asset
- Excellent computer skills (must have experience using Word, Outlook, Gmail, and Excel)
- Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner when responding to inquiries by patients, prospective patients and visitors.
- Ability to be resourceful and prospective patients, and visitors
- Ability to be organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure without compromising on quality
- Experience dealing with MVA (motor vehicle accident) patient and insurance is preferable
- Experience with Universal software or equivalent is preferred
- **Required education**:_

- Currently attending or has acquired a degree in the field of Kinesiology or a Physiotherapy Assistant/Occupation Therapy Assistant diploma from a recognized community college or any other equivalent degree

**_Required experience:_**
- Medical Receptionist: 2 years

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
