Accounting Technician I

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a strong understanding of accounting principles, we would love to hear from you.

**Duties of the position include, but are not limited to**:

- Clerical duties and data entry
- General ledger maintenance and account reconciliation
- Filings according to provincial/federal tax laws
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Data analysis, financial forecasting and reporting
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues.
- Provide support for audits and assist in preparing financial statements.

**Qualifications**:

- High school certificate
- College-level accounting/bookkeeping certificate
- Have a minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience

**Proficiencies**:

- Quickbooks
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Office Suite
- English language (reading, writing, speaking)

**Competencies**:

- Great interpersonal skills
- Able to adhere to tight deadlines
- Effective communication with staff and senior management
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and regulations is a plus.

**Salary**: $18.08-$30.37 per hour
