**Production Supervisor**

**Responsibilities**:
Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading, planning, organizing and directing all daily activities for the Department. The overall goal of this position is to maintain and improve production processes thru managing teams and equipment. To succeed at achieving this goal, this position must be able to analyze production data and offer constructive improvements to optimize production output. This position is a working Supervisor who will be working side by side with their crew.

**Hours of Work**:

- Facility runs 24 hrs x 7 days a week
- Day Shift - 8 am - 4:30 pm - 40 hours per week - Monday thru Friday - could be altered depending on needs and requirements of the Company
- Availability for emergency call in from department staff or manager

**Duties**:

- Responsible for productivity, health, safety, training and quality
- Responsible for daily manufacturing operations to ensure the manufacturing plan is executed in a manner that meets or exceeds quality & cost objectives
- General department safety - equipment, process, and people
- Responsible to reduce Cost of Quality RA’s and NC’s to meeting company targets as a percentage of sales
- Responsible to respond to safety issues, worker concerns, JHSC Inspections, and hazard logs to reduce safety incidents to company targets
- Enforce company policies and procedures, through an example, coaching and progressive discipline
- Responsible to maintain the integrity of the perpetual inventory system, by enforcing accuracy and promptness in paperwork and participating in month ends and physical inventory counts
- Support on time deliveries by minimizing WIP and tracking it through the finishing process
- Improve the reliability of the inspection process through hands on training
- Required to inspect process regularly to enforce standards and monitor operator ability
- Requisition and manage inventory of consumable parts for the department
- Must be able to deal with defects constructively and respectfully working with Production Manager to document, eliminate and mitigate
- Must be able to initiate, implement and maintain digital off spec reporting and labeling process in conjunction with Production Manager
- Assist in identification of conditions of all machinery, equipment and facilities in order to provide a safe and efficient workplace
- Keep the department clean and organized.

**Qualifications**
- 2 - 5 years experience in a manufacturing supervisory role - ideally within a plastics environment / relevant industry
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand, operate, and improve equipment within the department
- Interest and stamina to be a hands-on supervisor, working with operators to improve their quality, productivity, and safety
- Problem solving skills in both plant and people processes
- Computer skills including NAV, scheduling reports, word, excel, attendance software
- Ethical; ability to set an example to staff and hold staff accountable to policies and procedures
- Ability to plan and coordinate multi-step projects
- Ability and sense of urgency to respond to emergencies
- Dependable and accountable for results; enthusiastic to take responsibility and understands that Supervisor is accountable for the outputs of staff
- Excellent attendance
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create an adhere to production processes
- Good mechanical and technical skills
- Able to motivate and manage a team

**Work Environment**:

- Typical manufacturing/factory/industrial setting
- Continuous Process
- Hot, noisy environment
- Physical in nature - lots of arms, shoulders, hands, gripping, pinching, pulling, standing on a concrete floor
- Face Passed and deadline oriented - work well under pressure

**Rate of Pay**:

- $65,000 - $80,000 / annually
