Payroll and Ap Technician

**Summary**:
Under the management of the Finance Controller, the incumbent is responsible for the payroll processing (full cycle) for a team of approximately 200 employees, performs Excel reports for the finance team and supports the customer service of the accounts payable team. This position is located at our Wallaceburg facility, with a potential of a Hybrid option.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure payroll processing in accordance with applicable rules.
- Perform payroll related entries;
- Produce Excel reports for the finance team;
- Work closely with human resources and support them in certain tasks when hiring new employees;
- Perform government remittances;
- Produce T4 and R1;
- Monitor changes that may affect payroll processing;
- Approve timesheets in the Synerion system;

**Qualifications**:

- DEC in accounting;
- Experience in the full cycle of payroll for a medium sized company;
- Experience in accounts payable, customer service
- Ability to run reports, KPIs, etc.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple files at once
- Good knowledge of the Office suite
- Excel intermediate to advanced level
- Very good ability to work in a team;

**Salary**: $39,961.69-$81,938.99 per year
