**Financial Analyst**

**OBJECTIVE**:
**CLIENT INFO**:
A Canadian Corporation established by the government of Canada, in partnership with Seaway users and other stakeholders, in order to ensure safe and efficient marine traffic. They Coordinate a host of operational activities, ranging from traffic management to navigation aids and every other conceivable issue you might imagine would be important for a major waterway.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Help streamline the month-end closing process, including the preparation of internal financial statements and maintaining the fixed asset database and SAP master data.
- Analyze the quarterly variance and forecast reports, as well as data related to management costs and operational costs.
- Perform financial impact analysis of business decisions such as cost or benefit.
- Prepare tools, data and documentation to support the Manageable Costs Budget Process, including spreadsheets, budget models, templates, instrument letters, timetable and workbooks.

**PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- CPA preferred
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in budget preparation, consolidation analysis of variance reports, and financial analysis
- Expert in reconciliation, including bank reconciliations
- Knowledgeable on complete accounting cycle. Closing year-end, and external auditor files
