Job Description

Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Analyst is responsible for a portfolio of clients. The analyst evaluates credit requests of new and existing clients through research and analysis of financial documents, and shares its recommendaitons in a timely fashion.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Make collection calls and follow up regularly to ensure prompt payment received by customers;
- Perform regular financial reviews to assess risk;
- Setting up new accounts in system;
- Temporarily suspend credit privileges as necessary;
- Complete comprehensive credit inquiries;
- Liaise with Business Centre Managers to update on receivables and ensure disputes get addressed in a timely manner;
- Develop and maintain teamwork both internally and externally;
- Other duties as assigned by Credit Manager.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position dealing with high volume business to business collections in a fast paced environment;
- Degree in finance, accounting and administration, or other relevant education is preferred;
- Must have experience reading and analyzing Equifax, Dun and Bradstreet reports for risk assessment/credit granting;
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook (MS Office);
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken;
- Professional and courteous phone manner;
- Motivated and results oriented;
- Must be able to work independently;
- Ability to resolve conflicts and make decisions in a timely manner;
- Credit experience in the contrsuction industry is an asset;
- Must have exemplary multi-tasking and time management skills.
