The Knowledge Exchange (KE) Lead works to promote excellence and innovation in care by ensuring effective connections between multiple sources of knowledge and stakeholders. Working closely with the existing KE Lead and the Strategic Initiatives team, the KE Lead partners with BCMHSUS researchers, clinical and operational staff and leadership, and people with lived/living experience. The KE Lead also works with external stakeholders on key provincial system improvement initiatives.

**What you’ll do**
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate KE frameworks and strategies in collaboration with key internal and external provincial and regional leadership and partners to promote policy and practice change in alignment with provincial and organizational priorities.
- Identify knowledge exchange needs and priorities in working collaboratively with program leaders, expert clinicians and researchers, clients and families, health facility administrators, educators, health care professionals, and regional and community partners.
- Provide consultation to BCMHSUS staff, regional health authorities and other stakeholders regarding KE strategies and mechanisms to ensure evidence-based practice and works with applicable stakeholders (e.g., Inter-professional Practice, Research, Learning & Development, Communications) to support their effective uptake along the full continuum of mental health and substance use services and supports.
- Initiate and participate in a range of KE initiatives and provides support for the development of outreach education initiatives or conferences aligned with organizational, provincial, and program priorities.

**What you bring**

**Qualifications**:

- A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in nursing, education, social sciences or an applicable discipline plus a minimum of five (5) years recent relevant and related work experience (e.g. healthcare quality improvement, research knowledge exchange) required. Individuals with a postgraduate degree (nursing, medicine, public health, PhD in a related discipline) may be preferred.

Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated ability in developing educational tools and documents with a focus on mental health and substance use
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, both internal and external to PHSA, and including clients, families, and advocates.
- Demonstrated ability in leading change, inspiring, engaging, and collaborating with others, a solid grasp of evidence-based practice while also promoting innovation; ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls calls for justice, and how they intersect across the health care system.
- Supports team members on their learning journey, ensuring education strategy for team/department to implement Indigenous Cultural Safety at a practical level.
- Works collaboratively with appropriate Indigenous teams/departments to ensure ICS lens applied holistically.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
