**WHO WE ARE**

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) was established in 1999 as an international independent agency to lead a collaborative worldwide movement for doping-free sport. As the global regulatory body, WADA’s primary role is to develop, harmonize and coordinate anti-doping rules and policies across all sports and countries. Our key activities include: scientific and social science research; education; intelligence & investigations; development of anti-doping capacity; and, monitoring of compliance with the World Anti-Doping Program.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Since 2001, WADA has committed more than USD 90 million to helping researchers around the world develop breakthroughs in anti-doping science. The Agency’s scientific research grants are critical because they facilitate research dedicated to developing new and improved detection methods for prohibited performance-enhancing substances and methods as well as attract high level researchers to this cause.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate the release of year-round call for scientific research, including designing and opening calls, managing year calendar, organizing information release;
- Assist the management of internal activities for a portfolio of key research projects, including follow-up on projects, overseeing research financial aspects, tracking deadlines;
- Manage, update and improve structured spreadsheets to facilitate research impact assessment;
- Assist on data analysis and prepare presentations;
- As required, perform literature review in specific anti-doping areas;
- Work closely with colleagues in WADA’s Science & Medicine, Administrative, Finances and Communications teams to coordinate research development activities;
- Facilitate meetings and communicate effectively with WADA colleagues, external project teams and external experts;
- Acquire knowledge of anti-doping issues relevant to the position.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- Passionate about science and sports;
- University degree in sciences (BSc), ideally a higher-level qualification;
- Minimum three years’ experience in scientific activities;
- Experience with applied research projects;
- Experience with scientific proposals and reports, including experimental design and interpretation of data;
- Advanced skills in Excel and SharePoint;
- Experience in organizational skills and careful record keeping practices;
- Being innovative and pro-active to bring improvements to the team processes;
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills;
- Strong ability to work in a team and to think analytically;
- Excellent oral and written skills in one of the two WADA official languages (English/French) and very good command of the other official language; Additional languages would be an asset;
