Born out of CEE’s reflective journey - from the grassroots organization to the leading Black-focused, Black-led, & Black-serving (B3) organization that paves the way for Black Excellence through advocacy and systemic changes, the Sector Leadership Team plays a critical role in achieving CEE’s strategic objectives and future growth plans.
The Organizational Development Coordinator is an adaptable and thoughtful leader with a versatile skillset and knowledge in grassroots organization development, non-profit/community sector, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the Organizational Development Lead of the Sector Leadership Team, the Organizational Development Coordinator works closely with key external stakeholders to provide capacity-building resources that contribute to CEE’s future growth plans and B3 community capacity-building overall.
Under the Organizational Development Lead’s guidance, the Organizational Development Coordinator works closely with B3 grassroots and non-profit organizations to ensure the delivery and administration of the Trusteeship and Organization Mentorship programs/projects are met. With ongoing support from the Interim Manager and Finance Department at CEE, the Organizational Development Coordinator will provide CEE’s trustee grassroots organizations’ financial oversight, reporting and administration, as well as capacity-building guidance to grant recipient organizations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The specific duties and responsibilities of this role fall into three main areas:
Trusteeship & Organizational Mentorship Program
- Build and maintain effective partnership relationships with CEE’s program partners, grantees, organizational mentees, and funders in collaboration with Sector Leadership team.
- Communicate to the Organizational Development Lead status updates on files, consult on complex situations that may arise, and report any significant changes in grantee budgets.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements in Organizational Development Program. This includes the development of systems, processes, products (forms, documents, templates, tools), and a portfolio that builds an effective infrastructure (toolkit) for organizational capacity building through trusteeship.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to applicants, grantees and mentees with a view to improving the possibility of funding and/or compliance with the funder, which includes sharing relevant knowledge and capacity-building resources.
- Assist with designing, developing and implementing capacity-building training modules and workshops for trustee groups, including onboarding meetings, resources, communication tools, and other knowledge dissemination activities to strengthen their organizational capacity.
- Collect and manage quantitative and qualitative data, interpret data related to B3 trusteeship, and assist in preparing reports as required by the funder and CEE leadership.
- Maintain detailed records of program activities and monitor progress and impact.
- Represent CEE and Sector Leadership in the hosting of the Fundamentals of Non-Profit Leadership Course. Executing professional public speaking skills and supporting facilitators.
Grant Management
- Facilitate and support the Peer Review process, including reviewing scores and comments, conducting additional research or consulting with applicants to clarify and/or elaborate content information.
- Responsible for the overall preparation and administration of LOU/MOU agreements within the assigned portfolio, which includes reviewing and finalizing agreements and obtaining applicable signatures in collaboration with the Finance Team.
- Review disbursement schedule, eligibility of project invoices, budget reconciliation and content of progress and final reports, based on funding requirements in collaboration with the Finance Team.
Project Management
- Responsible for leading or supporting projects under Sector Leadership Portfolio
- Seek ways to highlight CEE’s mission and work and be incorporated into Sector Leadership special projects and wider scope of work.
- Incorporate multiple deadlines both internally and externally to ensure the Organizational Development Coordinator process is effective and timely.
- Effectively triage and troubleshoot issues that may arise in partnerships and consult with Sector Leadership Manage to asses risks.
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Bilingual in French and English (preferred)
