**Student: Folder/General Floor Labourer**

**Job Summary**: We have openings for students after school and on weekends as folders and general floor labourers. **Students must be 16 years of age.** These positions are flexible and can work around school schedules in the fall and winter. Your main role will be to fold large covers according to size and product lines in order to prepare them for packaging. Additional responsibilities are to collect trash, debris and other waste to keep the site clean and safe.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Fold and tie covers and tarps to prepare them for packaging
- Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
- Empty garbage and sweep debris from floors

**Other**
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, being respectful and considerate of all team members.
- Abide by all applicable Health and Safety company policies and government legislation/regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

**Experience**:

- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a factory environment
- Ability to work as a team member, but also can work independently when required
- Attention to detail

**Skills**:

- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds, etc.)
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of and commitment to safety rules

**Working Conditions**
- Exposure to noise and physical hazards
- Physical Environment: 100% Plant/Factory
- Physical Demand: Low to High in Intensity. Standing for extended periods of time, lifting up to 40lbs regularly. Visual accuracy and focused attention to tasks.
- Mental Effort: Moderate intensity with occasional higher levels of mental effort.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Schedule**:Full time or part time hours available for the summer; after school Monday to Friday with opportunities for weekend shifts and flexibility
