**Job Title**: Warehouse Team Lead
**Reports to**: Retail Operations Manager
**Job Type: Full Time - Midnight Shift**
- **Job Duties**:_
- Dock staging, shipping & receiving
- Load planning, dispatching & driver communication
- Inbound and outbound scheduling
- Ships, receives, loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a fork lift, clamp truck, electric or manual pallet jack, or other power equipment
- Provide front line leadership over all transportation operations processes
- Operating the equipment in a safe and efficient manner following defined work methods and procedures
- All retail delivery functions which includes software, load planning, agent shipping & communication
- Assist in administrative/clerical requirements such as data entry, running reports, labour planning, etc.
- Communicating professionally & efficiently with customers
- Maintain frequent interdepartmental communication to ensure on-time delivery requirements are met
- Responsible for reporting and controlling OS&D functions
- Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse by conducting operations in a manner which promotes security of customer's products
- Participate and encourage Health and Safety initiatives to promote employee safety
- Train new hires and temporary labour
- Delegate tasks to warehouse employees
- Act as a liaison between your manager and front-line employees
- Assist management where needed or as requested
- **Job Specifications (Knowledge, skills and abilities)**:_
- Forklift certification from an accredited source - OP, Reach, CB, and Dock Stocker,
- Planning and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, basic computer functions and WMS/TMS
- Motivated person who is willing to learn from training and inhouse programs
- Ability to adjust to changing, fast paced, high demand environment
- Flexibility with working hours
- Ability to multitask in a stressful environment
- Transportation experience an asset
- Experience with complex environments
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by management
**Competencies**:
- Basic understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and Transportation Management Systems
- Must be forklift certified from an accredited source or have 2 years experience operating a dock stocker, counter balance and walkie
- Strong computer skills including Office Suite and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Sound judgment and good decision making and problem solving skills particularly under pressure
- Creative and innovative
- Strong leadership skills
- Basic experience with managing performance
- Strategic thinker
- Client/Customer focused is critical
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Experience in warehousing and transportation
- Bilingual (written and verbal knowledge of French language) considered an asset
**Work Conditions**
- Flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required
- Daily interaction with employees, management, and customers
- Daily operation of desktop computer and peripherals
- Warehouse environment (temperature fluctuations, noise level, and multitasking)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and standing for long periods of time
