CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you We are currently searching for a **Specialist, CNIB Guide Dogs** Reporting to the Director of Operations and Business Development, the Specialist will provide partner-facing project oversight, coordination, and administration for CNIB Guide Dogs.

The role includes planning, organizing, leading, and controlling project activities; and is responsible for interacting and communicating with CNIB Puppy Raising Supervisors/Guide Dog Training staff/Canine Campus Operations across the country, driving momentum on projects, reviewing, and communicating all project progress and interim results to ensure alignment with the overall organizational mission.

**Your impact at CNIB**:

- Support with recruitment of 600 new volunteers by designing, executing, and evaluating recruitment campaign for the Guide Dog program; and by designing a re-engagement plan for existing volunteers that will improve communication and increase connection with our mission by creating meaningful volunteer opportunities.
- Develop impactful Volunteer Onboarding and Training templates and resources specific to CNIB Guide Dogs requirements and in line with CNIB's standards across the country.
- Support with the development of standardized, bilingual documentation and ensures best practices are in place and adhered to the Volunteer Engagement Program.
- Be the key liaison for CNIB Guide Dogs staff who require guidance on volunteer-related matters and takes the lead in training staff on CNIB Guide Dogs volunteer procedures.
- Works with National Volunteer Engagement team to develop new recruitment, retention and stewardship strategies and events that help CNIB Guide Dogs maintain a consistent base of volunteers to support Guide Dog Program expansion at this critical time.
- Works within the CNIB risk matrix to evaluate processes and policies that mitigate the organization risk and keeps volunteers and participants safe.
- Assists with development and execution of Volunteer Engagement activities, such as regular engagement session programming, National Volunteer Week, and other stewardship campaigns.
- Developing and reviewing training materials for each volunteer role and supporting with orientation events and activities for new volunteers.

- Flexible and dynamic with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Professional attitude, self-starter and flexible to an evolving program department.

**We want to hear from you if you have**:

- Minimum 2-year related experience.
- College or University diploma/degree in a related field such as, Project Management or Volunteer Engagement.
- Skills in CRM software such as Salesforce are an asset.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.

**Work Environment**:

- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
- Some travel might be required
