Behaviour Consultant

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments using various tools and techniques (e.g., functional behavior assessments, observations, interviews).
- Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment results, targeting key areas such as communication, social skills, self-regulation, and adaptive behaviors.
- Implement and monitor behavior interventions, ensuring they are evidence-based and tailored to each child’s unique needs.
- Provide training and support to families, caregivers, and other team members (e.g., teachers, behavioral aides) to ensure consistency in behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists, Psychologists) to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, behavior plans, progress notes, and session reports in compliance with organizational policies and professional standards.
- Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and trends in behavioral analysis and intervention.
**Qualifications**:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or eligibility for certification preferred.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with neurodevelopmental or neurodiverse needs, is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques, including data collection and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and creative problem-solving.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $57.94-$61.80 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
