Aviva has an excellent opportunity in our Small, Medium and Enterprise (SME) commercial insurance business unit. Currently, we are seeking a Senior Commercial Auto Underwriter to join our team at the Ottawa Branch.

What You’ll Do:

- Assess and evaluate the risk for new and existing business (Fleet, Garage)
- Analyze reports to resolve adequate exposure and loss ratings.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, pricing levels and policy form amendments.
- Manage and negotiate renewal terms for the retention of business.
- Respond to inquiries from brokers regarding modification to policy files in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work with brokers to develop new businesses.
- Build and maintain excellent broker relationships and management of assigned broker portfolios.
- Provide excellent customer service.

What You’ll Bring:

- 5+ years of commercial Auto underwriting (Fleet, Garage) experience.
- CIP is a strong asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and administration skills.
- Highly motivated and hard-working.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good digital literacy.
- Knowledge of the RTM system is an asset.
