**The salary range for this position is**:
**Recruitment range: $63,941- $70,492** starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.
**Performance range: starting salary to max of $83,138** is available through annual performance increases.

- Job SummaryReporting to the Director, Online Learning Services, the Digital Media Specialist (Specialist) is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of the division’s visual production initiatives.
This position requires creative vision, technical proficiency with audio and visual equipment and software, knowledge of divisional programming, leadership, effective communications, and strong project management skills.
The Specialist works closely with various units within the Division to create compelling professional videos that align with the Division's strategic goals and enhance its communication and marketing efforts. Additionally, the Specialist manages the creation of diverse media content to support online learning initiatives within the Division.
- Job RequirementsThis position requires experience and/education that is the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at two or more years of relevant experience. This position also requires experience in video production, including hands-on experience in the area of video production, editing, design and film production. Project management skills are essential.
An equivalent combination of training, education and experience may be considered.
Technical experience must include:
- General office equipment and software
- Related specialized equipment and software:
- Adobe products (e.g. Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, After Effects, Illustrator, Acrobat)
- Apple Final Cut Pro X
- FTP programs
- Cameras, video & photographic equipment
- Editing software and hardware
- Strong web design experience including interface design, knowledge of web usability, HTML5, CSS and content management systems
Knowledge requirements include:
- Project management best practices
- Strong understanding of storytelling and using this skill effectively in the marketing and communications plan and tactics
- Strong understanding of the web and social media and how to leverage these tools to engage various audiences and drive sales
- Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Vine, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be optimally deployed in different scenarios
