**Position Title**
- Business Process Analyst**Position Summary**
- Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a background in IT? Are you passionate about process improvement and using technology solutions to improve the user experience? Are you looking for a permanent role which allows you to connect with the entire Red Deer Polytechnic community?- Red Deer Polytechnic is hiring a full-time, permanent Business Process Analyst who will have the ability to work on campus and remotely. This position will work within the Information Technology Services division under the direction of the Manager of IT Operations & Development.**Position Responsibilities**
- The Business Process Analyst will explore processes within various areas of Red Deer Polytechnic and recommend tech focused solutions to the institution with the goal of improving the staff, students, and community members experience.- The Business Process Analyst is responsible for:
- Analyzing and documenting business processes to understand the required outcomes of the work being completed
- Designing the optimum process techniques which integrate appropriate technology to streamline the activities
- Recommending strategic improvements and working collaboratively with stakeholders to implement the solution

The Business Process Analyst also focuses on:
- Building relationships and identifying opportunities for business process and technology improvements
- Documenting existing and new processes and ensuring updates and changes are reflected in training programs and materials
- Maintaining new processes by troubleshooting challenges and supporting users through the transition

The Information Technology Services division ensures the effective integration and use of technology and systems in a learner-centered environment. The IT Operations & Development team executes service deliverables that align with the Polytechnic’s strategic plan They ensure optimal operation and function of our IT systems.**Required Qualifications**
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role at a public or private organization
- Two (2) years of related post-secondary training or equivalent such as a Diploma in Business Administration
- Related certification such as Lean Six Sigma, Project Management or PROSCI certification
- Proven knowledge of project management, business process redesign and software implementation
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Four (4) years of related post-secondary training or equivalent such as a Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Commerce degree
- Previous experience working in a post-secondary environment
