Account Manager
FULL TIME/CANADA REMOTE

We're looking for a full-time Account Manager with a knack for fostering and building relationships with clients and creating new revenue opportunities for the company. You'll be working closely with members of our Delivery team to stay connected and up to speed on current projects; you will identify future opportunities and build client focused roadmaps.
You will develop relationships with client decision-makers to ensure they remain up-to-date on our product and service offerings. You will also facilitate the creation of work estimates, draft statements of work and documentation required by clients to finalize agreements.
To be successful in this role you should be skilled in negotiation, have great communication skills, and a deep understanding of company and client relations. You will need to have a strategic perspective and be focused on getting results.
**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, document, and capture opportunities for key accounts
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the development of estimates, statements of work and key proposal documentation to meet clients’ needs
- Work with the project managers to implement corrective actions to in-flight projects within the approved project thresholds of budget and time
- Meet with key client representatives regularly to share opportunities, facilitate the development of client roadmaps, and increase the value the clients receive from Yellow Pencil
- Build strong and lasting relationships with clients
- Listen to the needs of the client and communicate the requirements in such a way that a cross-functional team can accurately estimate the work, document the approach, and support the successful execution of a client agreement
- Act as the initial point of escalation for clients
- Oversee and manage the inside sales process
- Forecast and report on key account metrics
- Maintain client information in supported tools
- Track contract information and renewals
- Ensure that projects align with our mission
- Participate regularly in project meetings to ensure that we meet the original project commitments.
- Assess, identify and recommend improvements to sales process to support existing clients
**Qualifications**
- 5+ years of experience working with public sector or institutional clients in a design and/or technology sales or relationship role
- Experience in winning new business
- Strong active listening and problem solving skills
- Experience working with public sector clients
- Experience creating statements of work and client agreements
- You’re self-motivated and a strategic thinker
- You care deeply about the well-being of our society, communities, your fellow team members and yourself

Once your three month probationary period is over, you will also receive:
- 100% employer paid benefits premiums
- 80% medical and dental coverage
- $500 directed learning expense allowance your first year of employment, $1000 in your second, and $1500 in your third and subsequent years of employment
- 3 weeks of paid vacation per year in your first and second year of employment, and 4 weeks in your third and subsequent years of employment
- all stat holidays, and a bonus week off before New Years Day each year
- 10 health days per year
- 2 days of paid moving allowance
- either a Yellow Pencil MacBook or $50 monthly computer allowance to use your own MacBook
- a health spending account (HSA) of $1000

**Where we are**
As our next full-time Account Manager you’ll be joining us remotely. We have a shared workspace in Edmonton, AB, and Vancouver, BC, for you to work from if you are located in either area.
