**SCOPE**
Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure and Cloud Administration, the incumbent is responsible for the management and administration of systems management environments within the end-user technology space supporting Concordia University’s operational and project activities. They identify the root causes of incidents and produces solutions, or requests changes, to prevent their recurrence.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage and administer the IT systems and tools in the end-user technology space. Responsible for the operability and performance of these tools.
- Assess clients’ requirements and recommend appropriate configuration improvements for the existing systems. Analyze and suggest new features and technologies to improve the IT services and end-user platform strategy.
- Restore disrupted services in a timely manner; identify the root causes of incidents utilizing Problem Management. Develop solutions to prevent problems and resulting incidents from happening, eliminate recurring incidents, and minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented.
- Provide 3rd level support for incidents and requests affecting multiple end-users and act as an escalation resource for analysts and technicians.
- Develop, build, and maintain computer images and software packages for all supported devices, ensure the distribution methods are reliable and effective.
- Assist in producing documentation for users and for other IT specialists. Provide training and guidance to users, analysts and technicians.
- Maintain superior expertise in information management technologies supported by the group.
- Work with vendors and service providers to maintain and improve services. Participate in project teams executing and implementing project tasks.
- Undertake other tasks as required by the Manager, Endpoint Solutions.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a related field with at least 2-4 years of experience administering enterprise-grade centralized management platforms.
- Experience managing cross-platform endpoints (Windows, Mac, Linux) including software deployments and patch management with Microsoft SCCM/InTune and the Mac and Linux management toolset including Jamf.
- Experience in automation scripting with shell script, VBScript, and Powershell.
- Good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written English to convey technical issues and material to non-technical people. Basic knowledge (Level 3) of spoken French.
- Intermediate level IT certifications (Microsoft, AWS, CompTIA) and Certification with IT management frameworks (eg. ITIL, ISO 20000) are assets.
- Understanding of standard client/server, networking, cloud computing, and database fundamentals.
- Broad understanding of advanced environment monitoring, management tools, desktop technologies and how they can be applied to solve higher-education problems.
- Demonstrated self-learner with strong aptitude for analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Highly developed customer service, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
