Class 1 Roll Off Driver

The **Trailer+ Roll Off Driver** is responsible for the hauling of customer waste from industrial, commercial, and institutional sites. The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery and hauling of industrial roll-off routes.
Job Duties
- Satisfy customer needs for service
- Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies
- Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections, and daily driver log book
- Complete an assigned daily route as assigned by Dispatch.
- Daily route consists of driving to customer sites, secure bin on truck, empty bin at transfer station/landfill, return bin to customer site
- Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.
- Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner
- Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities
- Required to tarp loads
- Required to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, requires bending and ability to lift 25-50 pounds
- May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Route Supervisor/Site Manager
- Required to follow all applicable Provincial and Federal transportation laws

**Requirements**:

- Ability to perform physical exertions such as repetitive lifting, pushing and pulling items that weight up to 30 pounds as part of their daily routine
- 1-2 years driving experience in a transportation sector (Minimum for insurability)
- Able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent decision making skills
- Ability to follow specified guidelines and procedures
- Must be able to follow safety procedures
- Walking floor trailer experience is an asset
- Must have valid Class 1 License with air brake endorsement
