Blackberry Lane Children’s Centre, located on Denman Island, is hiring an Early Childhood Educator for our Multi-Age program

We are recruiting a caregiver who understands the importance of providing families with quality childcare. Must have a Valid ECE Certificate, or an ECEA Certificate will also be considered. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is passionate about providing quality education and care to young children. You will create and lead engaging lesson plans, foster a positive learning environment, and build strong relationships with children, parents, staff and community.

Our location on Denman Island in the Comox Valley, BC. requires that applicants have secure housing on the island or have reliable transportation to and from the Buckley Bay ferry terminal as the BC Transit system does not have a schedule that aligns with the required ferries. Ferry fare and monthly secure parking fee remuneration will be considered for off-Island applicants.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
- $6/hour additional Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement (ECEWE)
- Paid Professional Development and Re-Certification
- 4% annual Vacation Pay

Required License/Certification:

- ECE or ECEA Certificate in BC (required)
- Infant Toddler License would be an asset.
- Current and valid Child First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Criminal Record Check

Schedule: Monday to Friday
