**Materials Technician, Projects**:
**Your Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Materials Management, the Materials Technician, Projects will be responsible for the overall receiving, inventory management & issuing activities for all KSPC purchased, project related materials and orders. This includes but is not limited to; coordinating delivery schedules and offloads with internal partners and 3rd party suppliers and carriers, comprehensive receiving and documentation for all relevant inbound shipments, inventory management activities, material handover to internal partners and/or contracted partners and other various KSPC materials management activities. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Ensure all work activities are performed with safety as priority
- Safely operate all material handling equipment (forklift, telehandler, etc.)
- Participate in and contribute to regular alignment meetings with internal partners and steak holders
- Complete comprehensive visual inspection and verification of freight prior to offload
- Efficiently perform receiving process as required for inbound orders
- Manage and maintain project inventory efficiently and effectively as required via SAP and or Microsoft platforms
- Perform regular inventory audits
- Maintain safe working conditions for storage and handling of materials
- Follow proper handling and storage techniques to preserve material until required time of install

**You**:

- 5-8 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting
- Extensive experience in project specific materials management
- Journeyperson, Red Seal Parts Technician certification is considered an asset
- Extensive experience operating material handling equipment
- Detailed material knowledge for all encompassed trades & activities. IE: piping / valve / fittings, electrical & instrumentation, pumps & mechanical, iron work, general construction etc.
- Strong computer skillset along with detailed understanding of SAP Materials Management and Microsoft Office platforms
- Ability to effectively prioritize work
- Self motivated along with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Demonstrates flexibility in uncertain situations and adapts well to change
- Highly developed organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be authorized to legally work in Canada

This is a two-year term in-person position based at our Bethune mine site with potential for extension.
