**POSITION TITLE**: Developmental Support Worker

**CLASSIFICATION**: Part-time Position

**NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES REQUIRED**: 1

**LOCATION**:Supported Independent Living (SIL)

**NUMBER OF HOURS **Approximately 16 hours per pay period

**START DATE**: ASAP

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION**:

- DSW or PSW (or proven equivalency).

**OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Valid First Aid/CPR and CPI Certifications.
- Valid Driver’s License (G)
- Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued for employment purposes within the last 12 months.
- **Use of a reliable vehicle and ability to drive supported members is required, including appropriate car insurance**

**EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES and SKILLS**:

- Knowledge of dual diagnosis and mental health
- Sound knowledge of problem solving and independent decision-making skills
- Experience in conflict and behaviour
- Ability to work alone or with colleagues to implement consistent strategies and basic knowledge of applied behavioural analysis
