London, Canada Bluewater Respite Inc. Full time

Bluewater Respite is a private owned business that provides in-home supports, out of home respite care for children, youth and adults with special needs and mental health concerns. Currently we are adding members to our team in our London area.

This position is an Independent Contractor and requires the ability to support clients who have a wide range of developmental and emotional needs.

Applicants should have experience in child and youth care, demonstrate abilities to work well both independently, as part of a team, have effective crisis intervention skills, great communication skills and be able to interact positively with clients and their families.

**This position requires**:
**On Call, Evening and weekend availability**

**Experience with clients demonstrating aggression**

Post Graduate Degree, such as Developmental Service Worker or Child and Youth Worker

Experience with children, youth and/or adults with special needs.

Knowledge and/or experience with mental health challenges

Commitment to providing quality of life experiences in home and in the community.

First Aid and CPR

Must possess certification in CPI or willing to complete this training

Access to a vehicle, appropriate insurance, and a G license

Drivers Abstract

Must provide a criminal reference check and vulnerable sector check

Wage: $25-28/hr

Work Location: On the road

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed

- London, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
