The Production Supervisor is cross trained in each department within Production and leads a team of Operators in all areas including safety, productivity, and quality. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, The Production Supervisor is focused on the long-term development of their team while delivering both short and long-term results set forth by the organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing Pea Protein in accordance with cost, quality and quantity specifications.
- Supervising and directing production of Pea Protein using materials, methods, processes, and procedures as adopted by management for the safety and productivity of the plant and all employees and contractors.
- Ensuring safety of their team and ensuring the team is adequately trained to safely perform their duties.
- Promptly identifying and addressing unsafe conditions.
- Delivering both short and long term team results around initiatives set by Head of Production around safety, KPIs, continuous improvement, etc.
- Ensuring long-term development of team and team members to build depth of capability for improved results.
- Maximizing overall Operations results on throughput, uptime, efficiencies, and usages.
- Troubleshooting equipment failures, determining work around and reporting deficiencies, and problems to the Head of Production.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising production team members in a food or industrial manufacturing setting.
- Education or experience related to chemistry would be a definite asset.
- Must be willing to work extended hours, evening and weekends (12-hour shifts).
- You are very safety conscious.
- You have strong verbal communication skills and are able to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
- You are results driven, self-disciplined and have strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong engineering knowledge and familiarity with experimental design and statistical data analysis is an asset.

This position is for the Roquette Plant in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
