**Junior Analyst (Co-op Student), Credit Risk Management**

**Vancouver, B.C.**

**About the Role**:
- Working within the Credit Risk Management team that is responsible for assessing/underwriting new lending opportunities sourced by the CMLS Origination team.- Learning and understanding the life cycle of a mortgage financing and internal processes and systems to facilitate a mortgage from point of origination to funding.-
- Reviewing third property reports for the property, conducting various credit searches on the borrower and reviewing tenant leases to identify potential risks with the mortgage.- Working closely with Risk Managers, Analysts and Funders in the Credit Risk Management team and internal partners including the Program Management Team and Originators.- Working on multiple tasks/deals under tight deadlines and learning to prioritize accordingly.- Performing other duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the job, such as preparing reports, assisting with compliance-related tasks and completing department projects as assigned

**This role is for you if you have**:
- You are a 4th year university/post-secondary student- You have a keen interest in working in the Commercial Real Estate lending industry- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able to work well independently as well as within a team environment- You have experience creating and delivering business presentations and strong technical writing skills- You are very results-driven and possess strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail- You take ownership of your work and demonstrate a high degree of accountability and commitment at all times- You are completing an undergraduate degree in one of the following concentrations: finance, economics, urban land development, accounting or business administration- You are an intermediate to advanced level user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)- You have a passion for real estate combined with an understanding of financial and statement analysis
