Instrument Technician

Stuart Olson is currently seeking Journeyperson Instrumentation Technicians for employment working with our Projects team

**About You**: You are a recognized Instrumentation person looking for either Project OR looking for long term employment, Stuart Olson will work with you

**Shift**:
Travel is provided from Calgary, Red Deer, and Edmonton

Project schedule starting immediately - 8 days on 6 days off

**Responsibilities**:

- Test troubleshoot and repair transmitters, switches, control valves.
- Calibrate and adjust set points on a variety of different instruments.
- Coordinate with control room to stroke and function test valves and dampers.
- Install and trouble tubing and air actuated instruments.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.
- Repair faulty equipment or systems.
- Understand and practice company policies and procedures.
- Maintain safe work practices.
- Other duties as requested by the Supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Must be an Alberta Apprenticeship Board recognised Instrumentation Journeyperson, 3rdand 4th year apprentice tickets
- Compliance to client(s) site Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing
- CSTS2020
- Energy Safety Canada tickets:

- H2S Alive
- Fall Protection (preferred not mandatory)
- Confined Space Entry (preferred not mandatory)
