- Together with the Senior Manager, you will lead the civilian support services to build and maintain strong relationships with the RCMP, City employees and other internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you will provide managerial oversight for a broad range of operational support services, in the areas of: cell block, community policing, court documentation, crime analysis, crisis intervention, fleet, quality assurance, exhibits, integrated teams, the operational communication centre, court liaison services, records and front counter services.- As a key member of the Detachment’s management team, core areas of responsibility include:
- providing strategic direction and leadership including policy development and compliance, effective staff management and team building;
- project management;
- assessing, reviewing and enhancing internal processes and workflows; and,
- budget development and monitoring.
- You will participate in various management meetings and committees, and contribute to the overall success of the City’s municipal support service model, which seeks to establish and achieve objectives within the RCMP’s, and City and District of North Vancouver’s missions, visions and goals. This will require you to build trust within stakeholder relationships and for managing change to meet the needs of a growing city, as the City and related services grow and develop to meet community needs.**Requirements**:

- Your qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline (such as Business) and a minimum of three to five years related management experience, preferably in a policing environment and/or municipal government. An equivalent combination of training, education and experience will be considered. We are seeking applicants with excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and organizational skills. Knowledge of police systems (PRIME and CPIC) and RCMP policies and procedures is an asset, as well as a sound understanding of public administrative practices.**Compensation**
