**Some of what you will do**:
As a Lead Development Specialist for Staples Professional, your primary responsibility will be to identify and engage potential business prospects, through the initial stages of the sales funnel. A fundamental part of your job will be to speak with Canadian businesses over the phone and determine which prospects have the potential to become mid-market Staples Professional customers. You will play a crucial role in expanding the customer base and driving revenue growth for Staples Professional's B2B solutions and services.

**Specifically, You Will**:

- Prospect Identification: Utilize various sources such as databases, social media, industry directories, and other lead generation tools such as ZoomInfo to identify potential business prospects within target industries and segments.
- Lead Qualification: Daily management of various lead sources, ensuring initial contact with prospect is done within required SLA.
- Conduct appropriate research on all new leads vetting out existing customers, or any invalid leads that could lead to potential fraud.
- Qualify leads by taking comprehensive notes during call into SFDC to enable full knowledge transfer to the sales team when lead is assigned, ensuring all leads are tagged appropriately for daily SFDC tracking.
- Be aware of all active Marketing Campaigns and provide lead reporting on success of campaign.
- Appointment Setting: Collaborate with the sales team to schedule appointments and meetings for them with qualified prospects. Provide the sales team with comprehensive background information to enhance the quality of these interactions.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all interactions and lead progression using a CRM system. Regularly update the status of each lead and report on the progress to the sales and management teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, sales operations, and other relevant teams to align lead generation efforts with overall business goals and strategies.

**Some of what you need**:

- 1-3 years of Customer services experience
- Office product industry experience helpful, distribution selling environment an asset
- Bilingual English and French
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with prospects and internal stakeholders.
- Understanding of B2B sales processes and the ability to identify potential opportunities.
- Familiarity with CRM software and lead management systems.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
