**Classification Summary - Union**
- An Equipment Operator II operates and maintains mobile equipment according to
proper competency standards, safety practices and regulations. Performs manual work.**Duties - Union**
- Operates mobile equipment and trucks with various attachments (e.g. roadside mowers, road marking machines, truck-mounted sidewalk plow, tailgate mounted sanders and sand spreaders, asphalt rollers, turf sweepers, small tractors, etc.)
- Performs traffic & sign installation and repairs; performs paving maintenance and road construction work.
- Performs routine inspection, maintenance, lubrication and fuel ling of equipment.
- Uses various hand tools for routine maintenance and changing of attachments.
- Refers equipment for mechanical repair and services as required.
- Responds to routine public enquiries; maintains written records of work performed.
- Performs manual labour work.
