**Advisor Assistant Job Description**

Granite Financial Group is seeking an **Advisor Assistant **to work in our Winnipeg Office.
Granite Financial Group is one of Canada’s leading independent wealth management firms, offering high-quality investment products, insurance, group benefits and customized financial planning.

A large part of the role will be customer facing and specifically have a group benefits focus which includes:
**Group Benefit Marketing Duties**
- For all current clients, pull marketing information from our files. Any missing information should be obtained from the insurance carrier and / or client, depending on the situation
- For all prospect marketings, ensure we have all information as per our “marketing checklist” which is required to conduct a complete marketing
- Complete verification of any necessary documentation related to marketing and ensure delivery to the insurance carriers

**Group Benefit Renewal Duties**
- Follow-up with carriers if renewal is not received 45-60 days prior to renewal date
- Enter all renewal information into our renewal template worksheets
- Finalize accepted renewal and ensure Advisors have reviewed final rates
- Print and bind reports for client presentations, when required
- Follow up on sold rates with consultants

**Other Items, as required**
- Manage schedules, including coordinating meetings and appointments, and making travel arrangements.
- Coordinate and schedule conference calls and video meetings.
- Handle expenses, including managing expense reports and reconciling company credit card statements.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed, such as drafting documents and presentations, and conducting research.
- Participate in Business Development activities such as researching potential clients and creating targeted marketing campaigns.
- Manage social media accounts, create and schedule posts, monitor engagement, and analytics.
- Be proactive self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude and the desire to take ownership of their position.
- Provide support to both the Advisors and clients’ day-to-day requests, and other general office duties as required, such as telephone invoices & office expenses.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Proficiency in the use of MS Office (particularly Excel), Word and Power Point
- Keen attention to detail
- Minimum High School Diploma required
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to critically analyze time-sensitive situations and solve problems efficiently
- A friendly and engaging personality, with a willingness to help others
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
- Punctuality in office and for client meetings
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced job environment
- Self-motivation and a result-driven personality
- Ability to work under pressure during difficult or sensitive situations
- Post Secondary Education diploma/degree would be an asset
- 3-5 years client service background in the insurance industry an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- A successful completion of CSC (Canadian Securities Course) is a bonus.

**Salary**: $14.16-$22.13 per hour
