The Project and Environmental Services division of SECURE in B.C. specializes in providing labour and equipment to support clients in a wide variety of industries include the federal and local government. Our expertise lies in:

- Decommissioning and demolition services: Hazardous material removal and disposal, building demolition, utility relocates, and ground improvements
- Remediation and reclamation services: Excavation, Transportation, Remediation, and Disposal of contaminated (BC Haz Waste regs) and non-contaminated soils.
- Water treatment solutions: provide water treatment solutions from, solids removal, contaminated water, filter press, mine tailings
- Environmental/civil construction solutions: design and construction of landfills and ponds
- Emergency Response Services.

**Detailed Description**:
The Operations Manager, Water Solutions, is responsible for managing and overseeing Secure’ field operations for the Water Solutions Business Unit. Ensuring client expectations are met with regards to effective, safe field services, corporate compliance, and cost management. The Operations Manager is also responsible for maintaining the reputation of the business unit’s people, equipment and reputation externally with Secure’ clients and internally within Secure.

**Key Responsibilities**
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Oversee day to day field operations maintaining and growing a safety-first culture.
- Ensure field operations are accurate/compliant, on time based on internal and external turnaround time expectations
- Meet financial targets based on job margins and reporting these metrics to senior management and the finance group
- Review and approve field tickets, lab expenses, 3rd party and consultant invoices
- Responsible for hiring, training, and developing the capability of corporate and field-based Operations Team members
- Work closely and effectively with office personnel
- Maintain and grow client relations as needed
- Work to develop cost effective ways to better service client base
- Liaise between groups within SECURE to promote and assist with inter-divisional work as needed
- Support sales team as needed
- Assist in developing and implementing new programs, technologies, templates, SOP’s, software and other technical materials as needed
- Regularly conduct site visits for inspection and be available for client field visits as needed by clients, operating staff or sales personnel.
- Develop strategic relations with regulators
- Work with senior management reviewing financial statements, sales and activity reports.
- Review performance metrics to measure productivity, goal achievement while determining areas needing for cost reduction and program improvement

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- 7 to 10 years of experience in service based filed-operations;
- Working knowledge of field operations, mechanical systems, pumps and pumping processes
- Effective working knowledge of WHIMS, TDG, and related safety governing bodies
- Working knowledge of fluid transfer principles
- Understanding of chemical properties.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong inter-personnel skills; coaching, people development, conflict resolution, relationship building and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence for goal achievement
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong results/goal orientation.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
- Post secondary education an asset but not required.
