We are currently seeking those interested in a position as a HI-Rail Boom Truck Operator to support our team.
**GENERAL PURPOSE**:
Ensuring safety is a priority, operators work in a team environment to build an maintain railways in numerous locations across the Greater Toronto Area by operating a Boom truck on the rail.
Working with signals crew distributing and transporting signal material and machinery. Working alongside crew on site as required.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Operating Hi-Rail boom truck and or other equipment
- Assist with other duties as assigned
- Loading/Unloading and securement of equipment and material
- Physical labour when required

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
- AZ License with 1-3 years’ experience
- Valid Crane Fundamentals CN-approved certification
- Basic hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers
- Clear criminal record preferred
- Clean drivers abstract preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs unassisted is required
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Regular climbing up and down on and off equipment
- Occasional bending, and standing for long periods of time, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Exposed to outdoors regularly in all weather conditions (summer heat, rain, winter cold, etc.)
- Working with hazardous materials such as creosote, lubricants, oil, gasoline, diesel and exposed to dusty conditions
- Regular exposure to loud noise
