The** Warehouse Supervisor** is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager and handling of all warehousing and distribution functions at the organization's Calgary's warehouse facilities. This includes accountability for inbound and outbound freight, as well as adherence to legislative, safety, and organizational policies and procedures. The Warehouse Supervisor will accomplish effective logístical oversight through strong leadership and decision-making skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads all the warehouse staff ensuring operations are performed safely, efficiently and in a compliant manner as well up to standard.
- With the assistance of Warehouse associates ensure orders are accurately picked, checked, packed, and shipped in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for controlling stock replenishment in their designated areas and advising the Manager of any “Out of Stock” product, overages and/ or shortages.
- Ensure that all the incoming and outgoing orders are thoroughly inspected, received, wrapped, tagged, weighed, and recorded accordingly manually/ system then staged in their designated locations.
- Assists in maintaining daily orderliness & cleanliness, efficiency, and safe warehouse operation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Through a process of continuous improvement, initiate, lead and/ or support operational efficiency and in a compliant manner and as per company’s standard.
- Manage the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of the distribution facility with the assistance/ approval of the Warehouse Manager.
- Supervise a team of warehouse employees, in the absence of the Manager and report and record all incidents immediately.
- Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment and report to the Manager.
- Monitor and report all inventory discrepancies and identify the cause, resolution, and prevention. Ensure records are stringent to eliminate all variances. Report to the Manager of any discrepancies and or issues asap.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving and data entry.
- Conduct any other warehouse operation related task (s) assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Qualifications:

- 2-4 years of direct work experience in a warehouse management function or supply chain management position, warehousing, inventory control, or materials management.
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
- Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems.
- Familiar with enterprise-level track-and-trace systems, as well as implementation experience.
- Strong knowledge of Sage X3, SCM systems, or any other ERP system as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills.
- Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
- Solid project and facility management skills are essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good financial and business awareness.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills.
- Team leadership and teambuilding abilities.
