George A Wright is located in the beautiful city of Kingston, Ontario, which is located on Lake Ontario. **Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Safely produce quality parts on schedule
- Run tooling and machinery to optimize production and quality to meet customer requirements
- Able to troubleshoot unique problems with parts, fixtures or tooling
- Change tools, inserts and adjust offsets as required to maintain tolerances
- Complete daily machine maintenance
- Check own parts against drawings in various stages of production
- Identify irregularities in parts and non conformance to quality standards
- Follow all safety and ISO procedures and responsibilities accurately completing appropriate paperwork
- Assist with training of Machinist Apprentice
- Perform other tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in a jobbing shop environment is an asset
- Prior experience with large horizontal or vertical boring mills or lathes and G-Code or Heidenhain CNC control an asset
- Intricate set up and programming skills are an asset
- Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings. Knowledge of GD&T an asset.
- Able to use and read machinists measuring equipment
- Understanding of machinery and equipment and material tolerances
- Must have good time management, problem-solving skills, initiative and a commitment to tasks
- Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision
- ISO 9001:2015 experience is an asset
- Overhead crane and forklift experience is an asset

**Salary**:$28.90**:

- **$33.66 / hour

**Vacation**:2 weeks vacation after first year worked

**Job Type**: Full-time permanent, 40 hours per week

**Language**:Intermediate English proficiency is required
