Teacher assistant / Summer camp counselor

Pris-T-giS Montessori School West Campus is looking for a Summer Camp Teacher Assistant who is caring and has a passion to work with a special need child to provide one on one care.

Successful applicants will gain valuable experience in children's education. We offer a great learning experience and references to employees.

**HOURS**

June 29 to August 25 : Summer Camp 9:00 - 5:00 PM

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist the child with all personal need.
- Assist the child to participate in the program.
- Responsible for the well-being and safety of the child.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident/Landed Immigrant)
- Completion of high school or a ECA/ECE students
- Proactive, punctual, and accountable
- Kind, patient, and fun attitude with children
- Must have some child care background
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- First Aid + CPR C AED
- Police VSC check
- Vaccination record with 2 steps TB test

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to be fully vaccinated, proof of vaccination is required and we are asking both students and staff to wear masks during class.

Selected canadiates will be contacted for a zoom interview.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 weeks

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
